About Me

My name is Leica Long (she/her). I am a 26-year-old Stage Manager from Raleigh, North Carolina. I am currently based in NYC.

I first fell in love with theatre back in 2009, when I played Tsali’s granddaughter at my tribe’s (ᏣᎳᎩᏱ ᏕᏣᏓᏂᎸᎩ/Eastern Band Cherokee) outdoor theatre, Unto These Hills. It was there that I met my first stage manager, who influenced me to pursue Stage Management. So, when I returned to school I asked my elementary school teacher if I could stage manage the school play. I’ve been stage managing ever since.

I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in December 2022 with a BFA in Theatre Foundations with a concentration in Stage Management and a minor in Sociology. Since graduating, I have worked as an Assistant Stage Manager with Washington National Opera, Virginia Repertory Theatre, Cherokee Historical Association, and Spoleto Festival USA.
